Chris Fore literally wrote the book on The Shield Punt.  He started using it LONG before it became the #1 punt system in all of football.  After reading an article called “Dare to be Different” about a new punt scheme in 2001, Fore made some adjustments that he thought were needed, and has been using it ever since! He coached 440 punts in 154 games from 2002-2017.  During this stretch, just 3 punts were blocked (2002, 2006 and 2014), and his teams gave up just 1 touchdown return (2008). Fore installed this proven system at Victor Valley Junior College in 2017.  They allowed no blocks and no touchdowns that year, on a 5-5 average JUCO team!
